Agencies (B'dos) Ltd. was selected as Stevedoring Contractors
to handle the very special and heavy lifting of the new low speed
generating plant for the Barbados Light & Power Company.
This engine and generator supplied by Hyundai Heavy Industries
of Korea and Albus of Spain, respectively arrived on several
specialized vessels over a three week period. This was due to
the very heavy weight and unusual size of the components, some
of which weighed as much as 150 tons while others measured over
400m3 each. .
